Nick Christensen has been chair of the Lents Neighborhood Association since April 2010. A native of Las Vegas, Christensen moved to Lents in 2009 after two years in Beaverton. Christensen focuses on economic development and business recruitment and retention, as well as livability issues in the Lents neighborhood. His community involvement started in 2009, when he was part of a team that questioned the economic benefits of construction of a professional baseball stadium in Lents Park. A professional journalist, Christensen has worked as a reporter and web editor at the Hillsboro Argus, the managing editor of the Summerlin (Nev.) News and as a sports and news reporter at the Las Vegas Sun. Christensen lives in east Lents (“the Lents Bayou”) with his cat and a cactus that looks completely out of place but reminds him of home.
