The 4th Annual Ramona Street Fair will be Sunday July 29, 2012

We’re looking for volunteers to help make Summer 2012 full of fun, family-friendly events for Lentils and Lentils at heart.

The LNA needs your help to make this happen. We’re looking for volunteers to chair committees, work on committees or just be an extra set of willing hands. Even a few hours will make a tremendous contribution.

If you are interested in volunteering or serving as a project lead for any of the following, contact Permitting/Volunteer Coordinator/LNA Chair, Nick Christenson, or Marketing Committee Chair/LNA Secretary, Michelle Grove.

Specific areas of need include:

Infrastructure: Developing a site plan for RSF, acquiring canopies, generators, music stage, bathrooms.

Children’s activities: Organizing children’s activities, renting a bounce house, recruiting local sports franchises (Blazers, Winterhawks, Timbers) to have some sort of presence

Entertainment: Coordinating musical performances, and providing cost options for a “name” act that can attract a broad cross-section of Portlanders to the event.

Marketing: Designing, pricing and placing advertising in local businesses and regional publications

Food and beverages: Recruiting food vendors, establishing whether it is feasible to sell our own alcohol and organizing alcohol sales

Sponsorship: Actively recruiting sponsorships from possible donors, including utilities, grocers, Lents businesses, sports franchises, foundations, etc.

None of this can be done alone: We will need your help in all six of these areas to have a successful 2012 Ramona Street Fair.
